The Role:

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to deliver, as part of the leadership team, increased sales income and to contribute to profit margins in line with overall divisional strategy and business plans. To build, develop and manage a fully performing and effective sales team, with the ability to deliver high quality service to our client base.

Key Responsibilities:

To manage the business as part of the leadership team and contribute to ensuring business income levels are achieved in line with agreed targets and deadlines

To produce a strategy, business plan and budget for relevant business area, such that business opportunities are maximised

To develop effective relationships with key clients and suppliers

To manage and develop individuals within the team, including setting objectives, formal reviews, informal 121 meetings, coaching and providing support on personal development plans

To recruit new members of staff as and when required, utilising effective search and selection techniques

To actively support training and development to ensure that the groups training and competence scheme is integral to performance

Role Specific:

To build relationships with marketing team to deliver specific campaigns and communications to existing clients as well as deliver the lead generation growth plans.

To work with the telemarketing team to ensure high appointment levels are achieved in line with agreed productivity.

To identify specific sales campaigns and work with the telemarketing function to deliver, communicate, and obtain appointments.

Required Experience

New business development experience is essential

Client facing experience

Man management experience

Strong business acumen and influencing skills

Self motivated

Demonstrate track record within developing and maintaining relationships
