Title: Engineering Lead/Dev Manager

Location: Dublin

I am looking for an engineering lead/dev manager who can manage/lead 3-4 other technical leads.

Each Technical Lead manages a cross functional SCRUM team, comprised of UI Developers, Full Stack developers, UX Designers, Quality Analysts, and a Business Analyst. Ideally I am looking for someone who is comfortable working across all areas of the technology stack.

As the Engineering Lead, you will work with the VP of Software Development, Product Owners and Technical Architects to guide the Tech Leads in defining and achieving their goals.

The client we are working with exclusively is creating a flexible metadata driven application framework using React, Redux and ASP.NET Web API 2.

Main Responsibilities:

*Drive process change which will help to scale a fast-paced growing company

*Working with and leading Tech Leads to ensure that sprints are planned and deadlines are met

*Will help us introduce technical areas of ownership that cuts across the teams eg DB owner, Back End owner, ui framework owner. They may or may not play that role, but will ensure the role is happening and a success

*Take accountability for the quality of technical aspects of the solution

*Ensure best practice is followed, code reviews, unit test coverage, continuous integration

*Work closely with Product Owners and Technical Architects, providing input to functional and technical designs

*Interacting with customers (on specific items) from time to time

*Working with the Test Manager in managing the System Test cycle

*Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives as required

*Develop/write technical documentation

*Set objectives and carry out performance reviews with direct reports

Required Skills & Education:

*Minimum 8 year's development experience

*Experience in directing and mentoring other developers

*At least 3 years .NET 4.5 ideally mostly of C#, Web API, JSON and JavaScript

*Experience of working in Front End Frameworks such as React or Angular

*Strong expertise with two or more of the following technologies:


*Skilled using any Inversion of Control (IoC) Container

*Design patterns

*DB Design & Optimisation, Stored Procedures, SSIS

*Experience with WCF Web services, MS Workflow, MSMQ, Elasticsearch while not essential are highly desirable
